We kicked off the event with Gauri pooja, which set the tone for the richest cultural event. The Bathukamma pooja that started right after 11:30 was such a treat to the eyes! Words can’t express how pleasing the colorful Bathukammas were. Thanks to all the ladies and young girls, who made them and participated in rhythmic dances. We cannot describe how fortunate and thankful we are to so many who made this possible. Without those who have helped us along the way none of this would have ever happened. This moment in the history of Central valley areas is for everyone who has come out to this grand and colorful event, danced to the music, been involved in the process of making a record turnout event, and those who have supported us in our journey to this point. We are eternally grateful and want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

MHATA would like to express sincere thanks and appreciation to both MH Vice president Bernice King Tingle and Tracy Mayor Pro Tem Robert Rickman for gracing the occasion, a special thanks to Tringle who danced along with us for the Bathukamma tunes.

A special thanks to Senator Cathleen Galgiani, Assemblymember Susan Talamantes and Mayor Michael Maciel for sending a signed recognition and appreciation certificates.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation for all of the hard work and dedication provided by the signed MHATA 2015/2016 volunteers team and also many more unsigned volunteers who came forward on the spot.to help the event. We would also like to thank all of our event sponsors for unstinting support for us and helping us to make this a grand event.

The overwhelmingly positive response makes it all worth the effort and makes us look forward to organize many more of such events.
